§ 1 Scope and provider

These terms apply to all contracts for the online cooking course, the Kitchen Check and live cooking that you conclude through chefladou.com. Your contracting partner is:

§ 2 What we offer

• The course (€179): an online course in cooking principles with 18 steps with video lessons, a workbook, checklists and small cooking missions. Steps open one after another; each unlocks when you finish the one before. Once you have finished all steps, the course stays open as your reference.
• Kitchen Check (€111): a prepared 25-minute online session about your own kitchen. After purchase you answer a few questions in your account and pick an available time.
• Live cooking (€333): cooking together online at set times with limited places. After purchase you reserve your place in an offered session.

§ 3 How the contract is made

The offers shown on the website are not yet a binding offer. By clicking the pay button in checkout you make a binding offer. The contract is concluded when we confirm your payment — at the latest when access appears in your account. You receive the confirmation and your contract details by email. The contract language is German or English, depending on the language you order in.

§ 4 Prices and payment

All prices are final prices and include statutory VAT. The course is paid once; there is no subscription. Payment is handled by Stripe; the available payment methods are shown in checkout. Payment is due when the contract is concluded.

§ 5 Your access

Your access is personal. Please don’t share your login and keep it secret. You may use the content for yourself and your own kitchen. Course videos, texts and materials are protected by copyright; you may not copy, publish or resell them.

We may suspend access that is clearly being shared or misused. Before doing so we give you the chance to respond, except in cases of serious misuse.

We take care to keep the platform available. Short interruptions, for example for maintenance, cannot always be avoided. We may improve and update content as long as the course keeps its scope and character.

§ 6 Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you have a statutory right of withdrawal. The details and the model withdrawal form are in the information on withdrawal.

§ 7 Cooking, health and allergies

chef ladou teaches how ingredients behave when you cook. It is not medical, nutritional or allergy advice. Mind your own intolerances and allergies, and handle knives, heat and appliances safely.

§ 8 Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Product Liability Act. For slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation — one that makes the contract possible in the first place and on which you may rely — our liability is limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Liability for slight negligence is otherwise excluded.

§ 9 Dispute resolution

We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. If something isn’t right, write to us — we will find a solution.

§ 10 Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the country where you live. If any provision is invalid, the others remain valid.
